Areed ("we", "us", "our") operates the Areed B2B Marketplace—a platform that connects customers and suppliers for requests for quotation (RFQ) and orders. Payments are not made or processed through the Areed app; users arrange and complete payments directly with each other outside the app. Areed does not process payments and does not accept responsibility for any payment transactions or disputes. We collect information that you provide and that is generated when you use our services.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We use the information we collect to: create and manage your account and authenticate you; provide the marketplace (RFQs, quotations, orders); verify and manage supplier profiles; maintain order and quotation records; communicate with you about your account, orders, and support; improve our app and services; and comply with applicable laws and protect our rights and security. We do not process payments; payment transactions are between you and the other party outside the app, and we do not accept responsibility for them.
We process your information to perform our contract with you, where required by law, and with your consent where we ask for it. By using the Areed app and services, you confirm that you have read this Privacy Policy and accept the collection and use of your information as described.
We may share your information: with other users when necessary for the service (e.g. orders, quotations); with trusted service providers (hosting, authentication, database, storage) who act on our instructions—we do not use in-app payment processors because we do not process payments; for legal and safety reasons when required by law or to protect rights and safety; and with your consent or at your direction. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing.
Your data is stored using industry-standard hosting and security measures (including encryption where applicable). We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and storage; their processing is subject to their own privacy and security policies. We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
Depending on applicable law (including UAE), you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate or incomplete information; request deletion of your information; object or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and complain to a supervisory authority. Our services are intended primarily for users in the UAE. Data may be processed or stored in the UAE and in other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards where required by law for such transfers.
